Fairness is when everyone gets what they need, and when we share and take turns with each other. Not only is it fair, it’s also fun for us both to take our turns and have an equal part in it.
Rules are an important part of life to make sure that we stay fair and safe. Fairness means playing by the rules, allowing everyone to compete and play together on an equal footing.
Fairness is more about everybody getting what they need and what they deserve, not necessarily everybody getting the same. Let’s break this down and look at some examples.
We have our Black Belt Attitudes system here in class. Our Black Belt Attitudes system is a whole series of worksheets. When the students fill them out and turn them in, they earn a black tape on their belt. These are tools to help build good resourceful and independent kids.
