We are starting indoor classes again on
Monday, June 29!
Students have a choice between regular indoor classes on the mat or online classes (via Zoom). Stay tuned — we are pouring through the instructions from the Illinois Department of Health and will have more details soon.
Karate for Kids
Learn karate through fun and friendly instruction! Classes are scheduled by age and skill level (beginners from preschool to middle school are welcome); participating in two classes a week is recommended. In addition to learning karate techniques, improving physical fitness, and learning self-defense skills, students also build confidence, focus, respect, cooperation, resilience, and leadership skills as they work toward black belt.
Discover your inner martial artist: whether you’ve practiced karate or another martial art in the past, or you’re a beginner who has never been on the mat, TBK will help you achieve your goals. Adult classes are appropriate for teens to seniors (yes, seniors, we’ll keep you moving!); participating in two classes a week is recommended. In addition to learning the techniques and history of the ancient art of Tang Soo Do, you’ll also improve your strength and physical fitness, and learn practical self-defense skills that build confidence as you work toward black belt.
Combat summer boredom with hours of martial arts fun! Supervised, structured day camp combines time on the mat practicing karate skills with time engaged in active play. Concentrated karate time may result in belt advancement, too!
