This week’s “Open Mindedness” lesson is about meeting new people.
We want to have an open mind when meeting new people. After all, we may be meeting our new best friend.
So when you meet someone new, remember to use a powerful greeting.
“Hi, my name is _______. What’s your name?”
Then ask them something like “what’s your favorite ice cream?” or “how long have you been in karate?”
As a side note for parents, we have noticed a lot of anxiety with students in just being around people again. Teaching them the safe way to say hi, stay 6 feet away and wave — as well as encouraging them to talk on their zoom calls — will go a long way in helping them to socialize again.
Remember, if we all work together we won’t just survive… we will thrive!
